A different side of Lafayette

"A different side of Lafayette"
Lafayette, home of authentic Cajun traditions and cuisine. A trip down south provided an insight to the lifestyle of Cajun country. A festival or more per weekend, crawfish broils at family gatherings, a Tabasco factory down the road, and a boat ride featuring the occasional alligator. Surrounded by humidity, Lafayette is full of culture, great music, and the best doughnuts. While I was satisfied by all these things, I was taken by the rustic feel and simpleness of my surroundings.
